Thursday, I can see to write the plumbers check!

     Surgery was completely painless and I am now far sighted in my right eye.  I mean things are crystal clear and my left everything is yellow and dull.  But my close up vision is trashed.  I already wear reading glasses for close up hand sewing and reading but I will have to go to a much stronger prescription as I will not be able to see the computer keyboard, which I could see just fine before the surgery.  Since I always and I mean always wear a pair of cheaters on my head this is no problem. 

     Plumbers update:  Phase one get the kitchen sink running.  Pipe was rotted out the whole length of the house.  I have 4 new holes in my walls.  It was a horrible big job. I actually felt sorry for the plumber. He has suggested putting a hinged flap over one of the holes so we can access the kitchen better.  So I will have Hubby make something pretty.  Cost so far and we still may have to have it snaked $300.00

Next week we start Phase 2:  Shower demolition and moving pipes to inside wall so they are code and redoing shower, fixing water damage to sheet rock and repainting.  $700.00 plus parts. When the sheet rock work is done for this phase we will fix holes in basement.

Phase 3:  New fixtures that I can turn on with my arthritis, new handicap toilet, three handicap bars.  (remember the tub fall)

     Out My Window:  Very hot here, but nice.  The flower boxes outside were gasping and falling over but I had no water today until 4 o'clock.

     I am going to have to take out a loan to get all this plumbing done.  I only have a thousand dollar e-fund and I do not want a home equity loan, I also don't want the CC debt which I just paid off.  But I will figure something out and then have to pay it back.  Do you remember my post on a $1000.00 E-fund is not enough!  Here is proof, but it is a blessing when you are trying to get out of debt.  Also contractors and plumbers will put these things on Credit Cards but you get a good discount if you pay cash.  This just means I will have to put off paying off the Truck a few months.  GRRRRR!
