Late to the party, but better late than never... right? Electronic duo Blasterjaxx (aren't they sexy?) have teamed up with D-Block & S-te-Fan, two producers from The Netherlands and indie vocalist Ryder, for an insane and emotional collaboration in the form of "Beautiful World", originally released back in January.
While I'm still pretty new to the world of electronic music and the names of Blasterjaxx and DBSTF, I'm happy to say I am very familiar with the vocal work of Ryder and she absolutely kills her performance on the new track. This time around, she holds nothing back, providing a beautiful, gritty delivery which only gets better as the song progresses. That chorus? Heaven.
Ryder came to my attention way back in 2012 when I unexpectedly came across her impressive solo offerings including "Animal" and "Night Takes Over", I even had the honor of interviewing her, she's a delight. It seems though the artist has put her solo career on the back burner recently in order to lend her vocals on intriguing and energetic dance numbers. She was also featured on Dyro's dance hit "Calling Out" back in March 2014. Glad to see she's still moving forward.
"Beautiful World" focuses most of the attention on the thumping production and dance beats from all the men involved, it provides just the right backdrop for Ryder to shine. "Open your eyes, step into the storm, open your eyes, cuz we've only just begun," she sings just before the beat unexpectedly drops and the track turns into something completely different, while still working together as a cohesive project.
There are many hands at work on the three and half minute offering, however, it has taken me by surprise for sounding fresh and effortless. The song has already found its way to the top of the Beatport chart, an equivalent to the iTunes chart for electronic/dance music connoisseurs. With a hypnotizing beat, edgy vocals and heartfelt lyrics, it appears Blasterjaxx, DBSTF and Ryder have all found a winning combination with "Beautiful World".
