New York was all about color this winter. For me, this was a trend which seems more London Fashion Week then New York. Designers are normally quite minimalist in their beauty in New York. But even Victoria Beckham got in on the act with bright red flashes of color!
VICTORIA BECKHAM - Get the look by using MAC Face and body for a dewy healthy finish. This is about basic eyes, strong brows so break out the eyebrow pencil. Try MAC eyebrow pencils and browset gel to comb them into place. Rimmel also do great eyebrow pencils. Finish with a slick of red lipstick. Go glossy with MAC 'MAC red' or matte with MAC 'Russian Red' or 'Ruby Woo.' Barry M and Lime Crime also do fantastic red shades on a budget.
Jeremy Scott was possibly one of my favorite catwalk looks for next season. It was all about playful fun with cosmetics. While it might be difficult to get a blue lip to work on Grafton Street, it could be a fun way to introduce something different.
JEREMY SCOTT - Use a light eye shadow color with an almost coral tone - MAC 'Samoa Silk' is great for this. Lightly dust it over the lid before adding a light smudge of black liner underneath. Rimmel do great black liners as do MAC. Add stick on jewels across the brows, in the center of the brows or on the face for a bit of a NYFW kick! As for the blue lips you can achieve this using Lime Crime lipstick - they have a lighter blue shade!
